This page has some top tips for revising for exams and what to do during an exam. These tips are written from personal experiences amongst the Student Job Centre team.



 

How to prepare for your exams



·         Revise early – Try to do 2 hours a day starting 6 weeks before the exams
·         Take regular breaks – 1 hour on, 15 minutes on
·         Don’t get stressed
·         Use the internet – there are plenty of good revision sites
·         Be disciplined
·         Practice exam techniques
·         Make a revision timetable
·         Work in a well lit area
·         Have a window open
·         Have a designated workspace

 
 

Before the exam



·         Check seat number
·         Do last minute revision
·         Go to the toilet
 
 

During the Exam

 
 
 
·         Try to relax
·         Read the question twice before answering it
·         Make sure you use all of the time allotted
